The Penedès is a region caught between the Mediterranean and the mountains, with distinct meso-climates ranging from the wet coastal basin to arid mountainside slopes. It is most famous for the production of high-quality cavas, but still wines from the abundance of old vines are especially fine value. We work with the Junyent family, who own and run the very impressive Castell D’Age operation in the Alt Penedès, the highest quality sub-region.
