Amidst California’s success with French varieties, it’s easy to forget that the climate and terroir are closer to Italy’s, and that self-same immigrants planted many of the vineayrds. As winemakers at both Broadside Wines and also Giornata, Brian and Stephy Terrizzi know this better than most.
