The Mosel and its tributaries, the Saar and Ruwer, undulate their way along the ancient Rhenish Massif, conspiring with the slate-covered hillsides to form exceptional micro-climates for grapegrowing. Riesling is pre-eminent, with its ability to express the subtlest nuances of each site while retaining an unmistakeable essence, much like the greatest musicians.
